This ten mile trail travels along the old Great Northern Railroad's Tatman Branch Line (named for its location in Tatman Township), which once ran up to the Minot Air Force Base. This flat gravel multi-use trail is used by hikers, runners, bicycles and snowmobiles.

This trail is very flat and its width makes it feel more like a gravel/dirt road, but it is one of the few longer, unpaved trails that is easily accessible from Minot. Even though it is a ten minute drive from downtown Minot, it is very rural and it's a pleasant place to hike.
