This trail is an easy .5 mile hike to an old mine. All that remains of the mine are "waste" piles along the creek, but makes for a fun day looking for minerals.
Check at the local Ranger Station in Burnsville for regulations on rock and mineral collecting.
Fenced off areas are off limits as they may be dangerous and/or private property.
