The Appalachian Trail runs 21.1 miles from NH Hwy 16 (Pinkham Notch) to US Hwy 2. Along the way, the trail passes Wildcat "D," Wildcat Mountain, the Carter Notch Hut, Carter Dome, Mount Hight, South Carter Mountain, Middle Carter Mountain, North Carter Mountain, the Imp Campsite shelter, Mount Moriah, Middle Moriah Mountain, and the Rattle River shelter.

I did this from rt2 to rt16 in 1 day slack packing,its really a 2 day trip.great views and a lot of side trails to get out.if u do it from rt2 be very carefull coming down wildcat to rt 16,very steep.
