The East/West trail is a very scenic two mile loop along the Presque Isle River. It contains three major waterfalls, giant virgin Hemlock, interesting layers of shale, and a charming swing bridge. It's a good trail for kids, provided they can scramble up a few hills, and be trusted to stay away from the dangerous river currents. It's a short trail compared to many in the Porcupine Mountains, but it packs in the scenery every step of the way.
Trail length: 2 miles
