The AT runs 33.7 miles from the Kennebec River (Caratunk) (US Hwy 201) to Monson, ME (ME Hwy 15). Along the way, the trail passes Pleasant Pond, the Pleasant Pond shelter, Pleasant Pond Mountain, Moxie Pond, the Bald Mountain Brook Lean-to, Bald Mountain, Bald Mountain Pond, the Moxie Bald Lean-to, the Horseshoe Canyon Lean-to, Lake Hebron, and Buck Hill.

this trail is now 37 miles,i loved it. has 2mts 3 lean-tos and 2 river fords.best of all is someone leaves trail magic,dont know who but I know he was a thru hiker at one time.i hope he knows how much it means to the hikers.they all talk about it.
