The Rock Island State Trail provides 26 miles for hiking, biking and cross-country skiing. Its location provides for solitude amidst the busy city traffic of close by Illinois cities. The beauty of the canopy style trees surrounding the 50-100 foot wide trail will serve as a refreshing reminder of nature at its best. A primitive campground is also available for the common backpacker. Much of the trail is wooded, but there is also a large amount of prairie land as the trail is location in the Grand Prairie Division. One of the premier rails-to-trails facilities in Illinois, this trail is a sure-fire winner for the entire family. Phone (309) 695-2228
