The Rock Cut State Park's 3,100 acres are host to a full range of summer and winter activities. The park property includes two lakes-- Pierce Lake- 162 acres and Olson Lake-50 acres. Both lakes serve as excellent locations for fishing, ice fishing, ice skating and swimming. The park's recreational variety also includes camping, cross country skiing, hiking and horseback riding. Don't forget the incredible birdwatching and wildlife observation that could take place.
One of the more prominent activities, hiking, is excellent at Rock Cut State Park. The park offers 40 miles of scenic trails for the avid hiker. The trails are marked by color for level of experience and hiking, mountain biking or horseback riding use. Phone (815) 885-3311
