Round Mountain Summit Trail

Moderate to difficult hike mainly due to the uphill nature and the length. This trail has some of the best viewpoints in the area. It's variety of terrain keeps interesting the entire way. There are a few camp spots. One located approx. 2 miles up the trail. The other couple are located at the top, 4.75miles. Watch out for the afternoon thunderstorms that go hand in hand with the local climate during the peak seasons.

Beautiful hike. Rarely difficult for someone looking for a nice afternoon walk. But worth it if you make it to the top. Viewpoints are located on the route to the top. At the top there isn't much to look at. There is a book to sign though. Thunderstorm did get me on the way down.
