Located in Golden Gate Canyon State Park, the Raccoon loop trail starts behind the office at the campground. It starts at an elevation of over 9,000 feet and meanders through aspen trees, blue spruce, and douglas firs. The climax of the trail is when you reach Panorama Point which provides excellent views of the Continental Divide.

This park was really nice. There are lots of different trails of different lengths and difficulty. The Raccoon Trail is 2.5 miles long and is moderately difficult. There's some elevation change and the scenery is beautiful.
