The trail is well labeled and easy to find due to the traffic it receives. From the trailhead begin by following the route towards Longs Peak. Soon after breaking treeline you will come to an intersection where the Longs Peak trail goes right and the Chasm Lake trail goes left. There is a sign here labeling the trail for Chasm lake. (There is also a restroom here) Take this trail the rest of the way to Chasm Lake.
Trail length: 8 miles

A great hike with a spectacular finish. The path goes through lots of different terrains so it stays interesting all the way to the top. It is steep at parts and can be a lot for people not used to the elevation but we did it with a group of people including a 10 year old and an in-shape 62 year old so it is great and challenging for the whole family.
