Saltwater National Park is a small coastal reserve surrounded by rainforest, just east of Taree. It's a popular seasonal camping spot for local Aboriginal people, and its convenient coastal locale means that surfers, swimmers and fishers find it equally attractive.
There are multiple walking tracks to choose from within this park, but the Headland walking track may be the most popular. The views are not only spectacular, but it's also a great place to go whale watching. Keep your eyes open for bottlenose dolphins, sea eagles, and brush turkeys as well!
