Campground Description

A very popular campground, with many well defined camp sites. Located along Iron Creek and the Cispus River. Paved road with gravel patches to campground. Very tall old growth trees on basically flat terrain throughout the campground. Creek side accessible trail. Paved level parking spurs. Easy RV parking. Good place to camp for those visiting the east side of Mt. St. Helens.

Iron Creek is awesome. We have always had great camp hosts also. Campers and their kids need to make sure though, that there are fisherman out there also and to keep their kids within the limit away from us that like to fish. There have been so many times that I have been fishing and campers just come right up next to me and start a picnic right next to me. Lets have fun out here, but also respect others! I found that many of the campers are very very rude and not respectful of others. You know who you are too! So please lets have a great time and remember you are not the only one that wants to enjoy Iron Creek also!

BEAUTIFUL campsites nestled among 200 ft tall 600 year old douglas firs. Moss hanging from the smaller trees makes it feel like a fantasy setting. Nearest town is 8 miles away. 4 loops, all paved, great for kids bike riding as the park was not very busy. Only drawback was that the bathrooms smelled awful, although they were clean. Some of the restrooms (particularly B loop) were closed from the roofs being caved in, which was probably better as porta-johns were moved in where the bathrooms were closed, and i'm sure those smelled better.
