This campground is AMAZING!I have been camping here for 37 years now. It is a primitve campground with restrooms only. No bathhouse. It is nestled in the GSMNP, with smells and views that are everlastiing in your memory. An abundance of wildlife and mountainous views. Full of historical culture and buildings. Hiking trails galore and and 11 mile motor loop for those who just want to drive and look. The campground has picnic table, fire ring, lantern pole, tent pads and paved camper pads. Shaded and mostly flat, easy walk to restrooms, a camp store nearby and bike shop for rental and repairs. The campers in this campground, after all my years, are the BEST people I have ever met. Up-to-date, I have never met a rude person here. I have lended out sugar/salt etc to neighbors from all over the country. Amazing place to camp, sing by the fire, pic a guitar, and meet new comers and old timers alike! Nothing like CADES COVE camping! October to me is still the best. Campers here buy/bring pumpkins and carve and light them in the evenings for all to walk @ and enjoy. The table cloths this time of year are neat to look at on all the camp-tables too. There is so much to this campground to tell, I encourage you to take a trip here and enjoy my home away from home!
