The campground is located along Gore Creek in a forested setting near the boundary of the Eagle's Nest Wilderness.
Hiking There are several trailheads nearby with trails climbing high to offer views of the Vail Valley and the back bowls of the Vail ski area: Gore Lake, Deluge Creek and Two Elk trails. Also nearby, the paved Vail Pass - 10 Mile Canyon trail.Mountain Biking The Vail Pass - 10 mile Canyon offers a paved trail. A more challenging ride is up the Two Elk trail and down towards the town of Minturn.4-Wheel Drive Mill Creek Road and Jeep Trail is accessible from the South Frontage Road. Red and White Mountain Jeep Road and Spraddle Creek Jeep Trail #737 are accessible from the North Frontage Road. No off road driving is allowed so please stay on the Forest Service roads.Fishing Fishing in Gore Creek is good. Fishing is also good in Gore Lake and Deluge Lake, accessible by hiking.

I am the host here at Gore Creek. I wish only to correct the information regarding the availability of water. The water system has been closed for the past two years. Please come and enjoy the beautiful Colorado mountains!
