Goose Creek Campground is fairly small, only ten sites, but it's a quiet place with lots of privacy, and most of the spots are creekside. It's the only campground in the area that was untouched by the Hayman Fire, in fact, the devastation can still be seen first-hand just a couple hundred feet up the road.

While there is hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding in the area, the campground itself has a short hiking trail that dead ends at a spot that affords a nice view of a nearby rock cliff.

The campsites have picnic tables and grill/fire rings, but as of now, there is a burn ban in effect, so check ahead.

Be aware that, although the place is far from infested, there were a lot of flies buzzing around while we were there.

No trash removal, so pack it out. There are two vault toilets, and they are clean. We had no cell coverage while we were there, and there is no Wi-Fi, so if you depend upon your phone or other devices, you might want to look elsewhere.

Overall, a nice, quiet place that was fun to camp at for a couple of nights.
