Maine's coast offers hikers a unique chance to be in Sunrise Country, where the sunrise hits the States for the first time each the morning.

Head up the Kennebec River Valley into West Central Maine to explore trails in the forested interior. Picturesque waterways with lakes and rivers allow hikers to view the pristine beauty that exists in this wilderness. Low, rolling mountains offer hikers every kind of trail from easy trails accessible to kids to strenuous hikes only recommended for the experienced. Hike along the northernmost section of the famous Appalachian Trail where Mount Katahdin remains a victory point for many thru-hikers.
