From the panhandle to the keys, Florida (FL) has plenty to offer the warm weather seeking hiker.
Florida has plenty of National and State Parks for hikers to explore like the famous Everglades National Park in South Florida near Miami. Everglades National Park has trails that meander through its pristine marshes and wetlands and provide chances for wildlife viewing. Check out trails in Central Florida near Orlando at the Ocala National Forest, which is the southernmost forest in the United States. Here paths take hikers under the beautiful tree canopy on trails both easy and challenging.
The Florida Keys have plenty to offer as well with the Dry Tortugas National Park just off the coast of Key West. Dry Tortugas features sandy walking trails that are great for the whole family. North Florida boasts stunning beaches as well, around cities like St. Augustine, where parks provide hikers with trails that will take them across sandy beaches and allow them to view the crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean.
