The Monroe trail is the direct way from the east to travel on Camel's Hump. It's classified as moderate to advanced hiking, and the average time takes about 4 hours, So plan for a day hike if you want to tackle this one. Great views from the very beginning as well!

Beautiful trail. Some high steps, and large flat rocks to scramble over. Great view! My first time up!!

This trail is a rather nice hike, plenty of views along the way, and it's relatively close to the Stowe area (which is a bonus). A round trip on this hike will take you about 6.5 miles. Also a junction to the Long Trail can be accessed not far from here.
