These hiking/biking trails are on the private property of the Effertz family, who run Black Butte Adventures. Do not enter the property if the gate is closed. A box for donations is at the second gate. If you follow the road past that gate (on foot or on a bicycle), a meandering singletrack path winds through the property.
Trail length: 8 miles

This is one of the best places to hike in the Minot area. It is very quiet and very pleasant. There are some nice climbs up and down hills and up to the top of Black Butte. There are good views of the Souris Valley.
