Beaver Dam features 10 miles of hiking trails near Raleigh, NC. These trails are rated easy to moderate and consist of 4 loops: a 2.6-mile outer loop, a 1.6-mile inner loop, a 2.4-mile west loop and more advanced 6-mile loop called the South Loop.

Enjoy the shaded trail system that runs under a beautiful tree canopy, but be sure to watch out for other trail users, like mountain bikers.

Hiked the outer loop and did not run into any mtn bikers or other hikers.

These trails are popular with mountain bikers but that doesn't mean you can't hike them! Bonus: there is swimming at the lake and picnic areas for after the hike.
