Description

Vogel is located at the base of Blood Mountain in the Chattahoochee National Forest. Park Hours: 7AM-10PM Office Hours: 8AM-5PM GeorgiaStateParks.org/Vogel ACCOMMODATIONS & FACILITIES: 233 Acres

35 Cottages ($95-$160) - #5, #6 and #30 are dog friendly ($40 per dog, max 2)

Hikers can choose from a variety of trails, including the popular 4-mile Bear Hair Gap loop, an easy lake loop that leads to Trahlyta Falls, and the challenging 13-mile Coosa Backcountry Trail.

The trails are not marked as well as others and I managed to get myself turned around a few times. That said, I will return because the park and staff were great and the trails were a good challenge with a variety terrain.

This State Park offers an abundance of choice fron 13 niles of hiking to 1 mile around a pristine lake.
