Description

Large parking area at Snake Creek Gap with restrooms. The hike from Snake Creek ascends initially toward Dug Gap and after a couple miles descends to a wooded valley with multiple stream crossings. The second half of the hike toward Dug Gap is mostly along the ridge line and you'll find a couple primative campsites along the trail here.

Beautiful trail in the mountains of West Georgia. Very remote for being so close to the interstate and to Atlanta.

Much of this section winds along the ridgeline with fleeting fall/winter views to the east. There are a couple primative campsites and stream crossings near the halfway point of this section.
