Description

This is a strenuous hike, and like other reviews I've read said, a hot one. Wear a hat and bring plenty of water. The hike to the top of the falls (which were spectacular in June, when we went) is about 4 miles. There are many great places near the top to stop, rest, and even picnic. Make sure you bring a camera; the payoff is worth the effort. On the way back down, my son was startled by a RATTLE snake, sunning itself! It rattled at him twice (just to get his attention) and then retreated. What a memorable hike for a kid (and his mom) from Wisconsin!
