Located on the north shore of the 35-acre Black Creek Lake, Black Creek Recreation Area was completed in 1967 as a picnic area and boat launch facility. Since that time, numerous improvements have been accomplished through volunteer efforts. Black Creek Lake is a small lake where windy conditions are seldom a problem and anglers can expect success from a boat or from shore. Record catches include a 12-pound black bass and a 29-pound blue cat.
The boat ramp facility has 10 parking spaces. Seven campsites are accessible from the parking lot, and six walk-in sites are accessible by bridge. Barrier-free facilities include a 60-foot fishing bridge, restroom, campsites and pathways. The site lends itself to tent camping and some limited space is available for small RVs. No water, electricity or sewage dump facilities are available at the site.

A nice local getaway for family and friends. A "carry-in/carry-out" site. It's a small and peaceful place my daughter and I have have been able to enjoy over the last few years after we stumbled across it. New restrooms but, primitive at best. However, the site is clean and well maintained, with the exception the bridge no longer exists from one area of the campsites to another. Excellent place for a kids birthday party/camp out.
