Both mornings I was there I was laying there listening to the birds chirp when at 8:00 sharp the RV next to me fired up his very loud generator. Soon after three or four more started. The one next to me was especially loud and he ran it four hours in the morning and hours in the evening. Sounded more like a construction site then a national park. They seriously should not be allowed. There are RV parks for those things. People looking to get out onto the mountains should not be subject to a Briggs and Stratton at wide open throttle for hours in the morning and hours in the evening.

Years ago, Dolly Copp was my staging campground for day hiking the Northern Presidentials and trout fishing on the Peabody River. The campground was great!

The campground will be full during any holiday weekend. Reservations are a must. Mid-week gets less use, and after Labor Day weekend, things quiet down considerably until the peak of foliage season.

we called this the dolley crapper, not dolly copp. We were located downwind from the pit toilet which might have added to our poor rating.
