This park is NOT worth the money I paid! I reserved an 8 person "luxury" cabin and paid a total of $250/night. I expected way more than I got. This cabin was more like a stationary RV and there's no way that 8 adults could fit in it. (Maybe 2 adults traveling with 6 small children would work just fine.)

We were there with 6 adults and 2 children and it was completely uncomfortable. First of all, the cabin had a loft that had enough beds to sleep 4 people, however, the loft ceiling is low and only my 5-year-old could walk around standing straight up. You can't dress comfortably up there and the stairs going up to the loft were narrow and the steps were short. Bringing luggage up and down was dangerous!

There was another pull-out sofa bed downstairs but it was so uncomfortable that my friends decided to sleep on the floor. The only semi-comfortable room was the one with the queen bed but there's barely enough room to walk around the bed in there.

The bathtub had a major clog, the water pressure was terrible, the AC in the cabin barely worked and the pool was filthy the entire length of our stay. (This was the only thing that we could use to cool ourselves down in that heat.) We advised the staff of the dirty pool and they said their pump had broken and there was nothing they could do. It was disgusting.

On top of all of this, the customer service from the staff was terrible. There were a total of 8 of us in that cabin and they gave us 4 bath towels and 1 roll of toilet paper. When I went to ask for more, they refused to give us anymore towels until the ones in the cabin were used. We could only exchange. They also couldn't give us another roll of toilet paper at the front desk. They made US track down a maintenance worker to get another roll and even then they refused to give us more than 1. This is just ridiculous! (They act as if you're asking for too much.)

The only positive thing I can say is that the "resort" wasn't too hard to find.

We apologize that the rental unit did not meet with your expectations. We have many guests who rent this size unit, find it very comfortable and return year after year. You are correct in your statement that our loft area does have a low ceiling, these are sleeping lofts. They are 51 inches in height from floor to ceiling. We train our housekeeping staff at the beginning of season with our expectations of cleanliness and supplies. From your posting, it seems that our housekeeping staff did not supply your unit with the correct inventory. We will be discussing this with our staff. Since your experience was not typical for the majority of guests, please contact our office directly to discuss.

worst place ever!!! don't do it!!!By t.j. r, 08/04/10~filthy bathrooms ~booked a site months in advance and then there wasn't one available when we got there ~managment was filthy, rude, unhelpful, obscene, she even cursed repeatedly in front of us and her staff! ~hell hole, nothing updated, everything old and dingy ~the pool was green from being urinated in and never cleaned ~very far away from the park itself, mileage doesn't seem like much, but you can only drive 30mph maximum the whole way ~staff cannot give directions, so don't bother to call, if you ask they will just tell you they can't help and that you should get a gps! ~the sites are not graded, so have fun slip-sliding all over the place, hiking down hills to get to your site, and trying to get your car through the piss-poor roads ~this place was a pig stye! horribly dirty, unfriendly, and the people there are pigs, rudest hill-billies I ever met

Great location about 30 minutes from Yosemite National Park. Terraced into the hillside with trees for shade. Excellent range of amenities including petting zoo, trail, pool, tot lot, playground, horseshoes, gold mine - great for the kids!

This campgrounds needs less than 1 star....the main bad feature is its rude staff....they are awful, like they don't want your business. We tried to use it for our yearly group Labor Day weekend camping and they treated us like dirt, just like the dirt in all their roads that the rude staff lifts every time they drive their golf carts at unsafe speeds around. They are unfriendly, rude, harassers, unaccommodating and way overpriced (lodging and general store items)....do not recommend at all, the only way to save this campground is with a staff replacement. Don't waste your time and money, go somewhere where you will be appreciated!!!

We will never go back to this campground again. We visited in July an found the bathrooms and showers to be filthy and disgusting. No one cleaned them or even replaced toilet papers for the two days we were there. The petting zoo is not properly taken care of and I saw a rat come out of the "zoo." We notified them and ask to cancel our third nigt. We were told by the unfriendly staff that they were going to charge us even if we didn't stay. We left anyway and will never go back.

We stayed at Yosemite Pines with my husband and three children. The campground and rv resort is set among pine trees and terraced into the hillside with gravel roads. Great place for the kids as they thoroughly enjoyed the petting zoo, gold mine tour, and movie night! The resort has a really nice pool and tot lot. Although they didn’t have a gym my husband worked out on the fitness bars which had pull-up and chin-up equipment out in the woods. Although the resort is about a half hour to 45 minute drive to Yosemite National Park, it’s a very scenic drive. The waterfalls were great and the whole family had a great time. We returned each night to Yosemite Pines exhausted and either did the movie night or told stories around the campfire. The bathrooms and laundry areas were clean. Yosemite Pines had a small store where you could buy basic foods, snacks, and beer. The town of Groveland is a neat little historic town and we usually bought groceries there.

We took a two day trip to Yosemite National Park and being on a budget we found out about the buy one, get one free special at Yosemite Pines RV Resort & Family Lodging. We booked the nicest cabin available and the cost was $159 for two nights. We travelled with another couple so it came out to $80 per night or $40 per couple per night. With our gas and food we bought in Groveland the entire trip was less than $150 for two days of lodging and travel. The luxury cabins were brand new and fully furnished. Decked out in wood interiors and cozy. Yosemite Pines is about 30-45 minutes to the western entrance to Yosemite National Park. The property is a woodsy feel set into a terraced hillside with gravel roads. Although popular with kids we checked out the petting zoo, gold mine tour, and even tried gold panning. At nights we made a fire and barbecued our dinners. Will return next year.
