Description
Boysen Dam, Reservoir, and Powerplant, features of the Boysen Unit, Pick-Sloan Missouri Basin Program, are on the Wind River about 20 miles upstream from Thermopolis, Wyoming. Fishing open year-round with State fishing license. Fish species include trout, walleye, perch, and ling. Approximately 20,000 surface acres and 77 miles of shoreline. Good access via shoreline roads and boat ramps. Other activities include watchable wildlife, big game hunting in season with State license, rockhounding, and horseback riding. Annual winter carnival held in February. Available services include developed campsites and RV sites with dump stations, drinking water, tables, wind screens, restrooms, and boat ramps.Current Reservoir LevelsDirections
