Description
Located on the north shore of the 35-acre Black Creek Lake, Black Creek Recreation Area was completed in 1967 as a picnic area and boat launch facility. Since that time, numerous improvements have been accomplished through volunteer efforts. Black Creek Lake is a small lake where windy conditions are seldom a problem and anglers can expect success from a boat or from shore. Record catches include a 12-pound black bass and a 29-pound blue cat.Directions
From Decatur, follow U.S. Highway 81/287 north 4 ¬? miles, turn right on Wise County Road 2175 at the rest area, cross over RR tracks, go 1 mile and turn left on Old Decatur Road. Go 4 miles, turn right on CR 2372; then go 2 miles and turn left on CR 2461 for ¬? mile. After crossing the bridge, turn left on FS Road 902 for ¬æ mile. Or from Decatur, follow FM Road 730 north 6 miles and turn left on CR 2360 for 2 miles. Turn right on CR 2461, go ¬º mile, turn left on FS Road 902.Activities

Services
The boat ramp facility has 10 parking spaces. Seven campsites are accessible from the parking lot, and six walk-in sites are accessible by bridge. Barrier-free facilities include a 60-foot fishing bridge, restroom, campsites and pathways. The site lends itself to tent camping and some limited space is available for small RVs. No water, electricity or sewage dump facilities are available at the site.Reservation info
