Camping at Burr Oak Cove offers a more primitive and tranquil alternative to Burr Oak State Park.

Directions

Located a half mile east of Highway 13, Burr Oak Cove is a small densely wooded campground on the north-west tip of Burr Oak Reservoir.

Activities

Burr Oak Cove is only a short distance from the Burr Oak Reservoir. The one mile Lake View Trail provides easy access to the scenic lake.For the backpacker, Burr Oak Cove is along the North Country/Buckeye Trail. The North Country Trail is a National Scenic Trail from New York to North Dakota and the Buckeye Trail is a 1,200 mile trail encircling Ohio.

Services

The campground has 19 camping units, including walk-in sites which offer additional seclusion to the camper looking for solitude.Drinking water, pit toilets, tables, and fire rings are provided on the site. The campground is normally open with water available from May 15 through late fall depending on weather. One barrier free campsite is available.

Reservation info


Fees

The fee for camping between 5/15 and 9/30 is $5/night. Once water is no longer available, camping is free of charge. Monday through Friday.
