Tripleblaze is Giving Free Topo Map Access to 1,000 Boy Scout Troops

Scouting was a big part of my life growing up. My Dad, an Eagle Scout himself, encouraged my brothers and I to attain the highest rank in Scouting and I’m proud to say all three of us did just that. It was my experiences as a Boy Scout that led me to a lifelong love of the outdoors which ultimately led me to launch in 2005.

Today, exists to help outdoor enthusiasts find the best places to go camping and hiking with reviews, photos, and high quality topo maps for more than 15,000 locations around the US and Canada. All the information on is available free of charge with the exception of the topo maps which are available for $24.99 a year.

As Boy Scout Troops begin planning camping and hiking trips for 2014, we want to give back to Scouting by offering two years of free topo map access (a $49.98 value) to the first 1,000 Troops that request an online subscription using this form. All requests will be subject to the honor system; no more than 1 request per troop or per person. Your name and address will not be shared outside and is only used for verification purposes.

We’re excited to share access to our topo maps with the Boy Scouts and look forward to seeing your reviews and photos as you explore the great outdoors in 2014!
