Week in Review: Outdoor PODs

Every day of the week we feature an excellent user-submitted camping or hiking photo as our Photo of the Day. Just in case you missed one or two from the past week, here are the seven most recent PODs that we’ve published:

Trail: Fernhill Loop, Queenstown, New Zealand. Photo: Ginny_Tory.

Racoon Trail, Golden, Colorado. Photo: Sarah Hikes.

Appalachian Trail 004: Neels Gap to Tesnatee Gap Hiking Trail, Dahlonega, Georgia. Photo: kjspurlock.

"I spotted this on My Morning Hike @ Wekiva Springs State Park in Longwood, Florida. I have been trying for a couple of years to get a sunny focused shot of this of spider. They are all over Florida and today I finally had everything in my favor they are a harmless web spider and beautiful in colors, but because they are so tiny they are hard to photograph. A little bigger then the size of a pencil tip." Photo: Melissa Peacock.

"From the summit." Greenleaf Trail, Franconia, New Hampshire. Photo: orval66.

Richmond Trail, Tekapo, New Zealand. Photo: Ginny_Tory.

About Greg Heil

My name is Greg Heil, and I am the Editor in Chief for Tripleblaze.com. Thanks to my parents' outdoor lifestyle and the beautiful northwoods of Wisconsin that I grew up in, I have been camping and hiking since before I can remember. While most days you will find me out on the trail riding my mountain bike, I love to get out in the woods and camp. I generally go on a month-long (or longer) camping and biking trip every summer... with some hiking thrown in for good measure, of course!
