Video: “Glacier National Park – Tales from the Belly River: Dawn Mist Falls”

In this short film, explore the journey water takes to form Dawn Mist Falls. Starting from Ahern Pass, water cascades down to the head of Helen Lake, out the foot of the lake, and into the Belly River. The river then flows into Elizabeth Lake, draining out of the foot of the lake into the river again, finally pouring over a cliff. Dawn Mist Falls is in the Belly River Valley, a beautiful and wild location in the northeast corner of Glacier National Park.

About Greg Heil

My name is Greg Heil, and I am the Editor in Chief for Thanks to my parents' outdoor lifestyle and the beautiful northwoods of Wisconsin that I grew up in, I have been camping and hiking since before I can remember. While most days you will find me out on the trail riding my mountain bike, I love to get out in the woods and camp. I generally go on a month-long (or longer) camping and biking trip every summer... with some hiking thrown in for good measure, of course!
