Hikers can explore the trails in Alabama (AL) year round. With its diverse and scenic woodlands and riverways in Northern Alabama to the sandy beaches in Southern Alabama, there is always plenty to see.

Alabama hiking is sure to please with 21 State Forests and 22 State Parks, making it full of outdoor recreation opportunities. Just at Lake Guntersville State Park alone there are 30 miles of hiking trails to explore, while Tuskegee National Forest, in southern Alabama, offers plenty of beautiful fishing ponds and opportunities for wildlife viewing.

Hike near the water on secluded beach hiking trails along southern Alabama's Gulf Coast, or head out to Cheaha State Park and climb to the highest point in Alabama. Even cities like Montgomery and Birmingham have trails nearby for hikers to enjoy!
