Many trails to choose from, including the Guadalupe Peak trail which leads to the highest point in Texas, Guadalupe Peak. Varied scenery from high desert to pine forests, this is a great place to hike. From the Pine Top campground (a 4 mile hike from the visitors center parking area), the Bush Mountain/Blue Ridge/Tejas trail loop is a nice 10 mile loop with great views of the entire park. Bowl trails are good as well and the Bear Canyon trail follows a (usually dry) streambed as it careens off the mountains. Can be windy at times, depending on the season.Directions
From El Paso, take US 62/180 approximately 110 miles to the park entrance on the right. $3 per person entry fee.Trail length

(1 out of 1 members found this review useful.)Tons of trails to explore at this out of the way National Park. The lower elevation trails take you through rocky scrub while the upper trails travel through medium density pine forests. Don't expect to find water anywhere but the visitor's center - if you're backpacking bring your own!
