Mostly wide gravel paths suitable for walking, jogging, or biking. Several foot paths diverge from the wide gravel roads and lead to some interesting scenery, particularly in the area off Whitfield Road. Lots of people here on the weekends.Directions
Several access points. Here are two of the more popular locations: 1. Off 751 just north of US 15-501. Parking area on the left and right side of the road just past the traffic circle at Erwin Road. 2. Off Whitfield Road just past the fire station. Take Erwin Road west toward Chapel Hill and turn right onto Whitfield. Fire station is about 1 mile down Whitfield from Erwin.Guidebooks
