Scenic section stretching from the border of Smoky Mountains National Park to Hot Springs, NC. Shelters along this route include Groundhog Creek, Roaring Fork, Walnut Mountain, and Deer Park shelters.Directions
From Asheville, take I-40 west to Tennessee border. Take the first Tennessee exit and look for parking along gravel road.Trail length
