Description

This is the second major section of Appalachian Trail inside Smoky Mountains National Park. Shelters along this route include Icewater Spring, Kephart, Pecks Corner, Tricorner Knob, Cosby Knob, and Davenport Gap shelters. Shelter spots along this route may need to be reserved in advance.

From Cherokee, follow US 441 north through Smoky Mountains National Park. Trail crosses US 441.
