I live in Dahlonega so the trailhead is a mere 15 miles from my home and Preacher's Rock, the amazing rock outcrop with a panoramic view, is only a mile up the trail. Perfect for a quick after-work fix!

(1 out of 1 members found this response useful.)We did the short hike (1 mile in, 1 mile out) to Preacher's Rock from Woody Gap yesterday. The trail was pretty easy to start with, but as it climbs the ridge it gets much steeper and rockier, but still very doable. We were amazed at the beautiful view from the top for such a short hike! No wonder this is such a popular spot!
