Great hiking trails.Directions
From Atlanta, Take I-75 north, exit on the Red Top Mountain Exit, go west from that exit to Hwy 41, go north on 41 and you will soon pass the Riverside Park/ Allatoona Dam day use area on the right, then cross the Etowah River, the very next right is the road for Cooper's Furnace Day Use Area. Turn right on that road and follow the signs. (it crosses under the interstate and goes a couple miles along the river) (Also, this park will be closed from November to March, but there is a parking space in front of the gate where you can park your vehicle and ride your bike in). Don't do this ride on weekends or holidays unless you want stink-eye from all the old men in Bermuda shorts.Trail length

(2 out of 2 members found this review useful.)Our family really enjoyed this hike. You can also visit the Allatoona Dam here and enjoy a picnic and play time with the family. It is beautiful in the fall, but then again, what trail isn't! I would recommend this trail to families with small children as it is a very easy hike and there is something really cool at the end!!
