Many trails to choose from in the park ranging from forested lake trails to the most popular mountain trail that takes you to the summit of Stone Mountain. The mountain trail traverses the exposed granite monolith starting in a thin pine forest and eventually gives way to a completely exposed and sometimes steep ascent. Bring plenty of water on hot days!Directions
From Atlanta, take US 78 East approximately 5 miles past I-285. Look for exit signs directing you into the park. $8 per car entry fee as of 9/17/08.Trail length

(1 out of 1 members found this review useful.)The summit trail is just over 1 mile long but climbs about 700 feet! Great place to take the family, just know your limits. Some choose to take the tram to the top and hike down, a good option for those not in the best shape.
