Boggy areas have boardwalks, otherwise gravel or soil surface to treeline. Alpine area have rocky surface. Rock cairns and mileposts mark route. 15 mile loop trail with emergency shelter. Excellent access to numerous granite tors with specatacular views of surrounding mountains. Some wildflowers and wildlife/bird opportunities. Nice full day or overnight family hike.
