The Cherry Creek Trail is a fairly easy hike, being mostly flat with only a few technical sections. However, one can get in a roughly 14-mile round trip if you do the entire thing (it ends a little ways past Evans/Iliff.) It runs north/south between the bike path and the creek. Sure, there are better hikes out there, but it's central location makes it a good after work hike and it's ease makes it good to take kids on. There's lots of shade and even a couple of bars that serve food and cold drinks about a block from the trail on Iliff. You'll likely encounter other hikers, trail runners, mountain bikers, and kids playing in the creek, so be alert, because there are a few blind corners.Directions
Park anywhere legal near Colorado Blvd and the Alameda-Cherry Creek Drive area and head east on the Cherry Creek bike path. Right before you get to the Four Mile House, you'll see a drop-in for the trail to your right.Trail length
