The Broad Mtn Loop is an old fire road that has become a multi-use trail. It is the only trail that allows access to State Game Land 141 on the west side of the Lehigh River. If you go far enough, it offers access to the top of Glen Onoko waterfall trail, plus 3 or 4 nice vistas overlooking the Lehigh Gorge (see photo above). 2 of these vistas are just awesome, but they involve a long hike. This trail is also a great intermediate mountain bike ride, which is a faster way to get to see everything. There are lots of other hiking/biking trails in the Jim Thorpe area - if you need a guide to help you make the most of your visit, check out 'the JTX'. If you want to do the BMLoop on your own, I would suggest an out-n-back from the first parking lot at the top of the Broad Mtn.

Wide gravel path feels more like a walk down the road than a hike in the woods. Nice views on the east side of the loop and a couple creek crossings.
