This is one of three featured hikes along the Chattooga River. Designated a Wild and Scenic River, the Chattooga is one of the few remaining free-flow streams in the Southeast. King Creek Falls is an moderate out-and-back hike of about 1 hour (2 miles round trip). The 60 foot falls and U-shaped cove at the bottom are splendid things to see.

Risk-reward is a clear and present summary for this hike during wet conditions.
The trail to the wonderful falls is short, but there are many areas of danger when the rains have been heavy and persistent.
During dry times, the trail is exponentially safer.
I'm awarding only 3 stars based on the risk. The reward is worth more than that. It's up to you, to pursue. Just be careful, OK?
