Description
If you are interested in a quiet campground and excellent pike fishing, Bear Lake Campground is for you. The nearby Peshtigo and Rat rivers also offer good trout fishing. Several walk-in camp units are available. These, along with regular campsites, are situated along the wooded shore and ridge with outstanding views to the lake.Directions

Many of the campsites are directly on the lake, so you can wake up in the morning, roll out of your tent, and fish right off your "front porch". Better than any fancy cabin or resort up north. Has a nice little swimming beach too.
However: 1. there is starting to be some development across the lake (fancy homes) that detract from the serenity. and 2. these past two years, the lake has been having a nasty algae problem, so no swimming...
