(5 out of 6 members found this review useful.) Reply to ReviewPicturesque and generally well maintained. The site is spread out, and offers a nice place to take your dog for a walk without getting off the asphalt, if you prefer that. In August of 2008, a good share of the CG was closed off, not sure why but they must have their reasons. Pretty quiet area considering the proximity to a highway and Prescott itself. I have a 35' MH, and many (most) of the sites weren't level enough for a rig this size but most would be fine for a single axle trailer to level up in. Water hydrants produce water that tastes pretty bad, but would be good to shower or wash with. There is no dump station. Grass-like vegetation was allowed to encroach into parking pads with no apparent attempt to keep it back. You would be breaking the law if you took a weedeater with you and handled the job yourself! While I'm pointing out the cons, there are many pros, like a number of hiking/biking trails around the CG, friendly and responsive staff. I'll definitely go back. It's one of the more user friendly big-rig Forest Service CG's around. I'm from Mesa, so the cool nights and relatively cool days are a great get-away during the hot season. If you have any type of "Senior" card, you get a 50% discount, and $5/day isn't too bad for a nice cool, quiet place to enjoy the outdoors.
