Description

Situated in the stately ponderosa pines, this site encompasses approximately 5 acres and is an old Forest Service Work Center. There are 5 buildings on the grounds but are not available to the public. The elevation here is approximately 6950 feet.

Directions

rom Flagstaff drive 55 miles south on FH 3 (Lake Mary Road) to AZ 87 at Clints Well. Turn right and drive approximately one-quarter mile to milepost 298.9. Turn right on FR 141 and drive one mile, turn right on FR 147a and go one mile more. The Center will be on your left.

Three pedestal grills, ten picnic tables, group fire pit, vault toilets for groups up to 50 people.

Reservation info

Are required. Reservations must be made through the Happy Jack Information Center and are accepted by phone or in writing after January 1st each year.

Fees

$50 per night, Friday and Saturday. $30 per night Sunday through Thursday
