Description

Honey Hill Recreation Area, niched nicely within Francis Marion National Forest, offers 10 primitive campsites with a hand water pump and vault toilet. Picnic tables and fire pits are also available. Sites will accommodate large RV’s.

Francis Marion National Forest offers many miles of trails for hikers, bikers, and horseback riders; as well as both fresh and salt water fishing.

Birders and wildlife enthusiasts will love the fact that Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge is only a 20 mile drive from Honey Hill.

Honey Hill is reported to be officially open year round with a no-fee policy, however, it is recommended to give the Wambaw Ranger Office a call before you make the drive, especially during summer weekends and during any hunting season (843) 887-3257.
