Description

Devils Fork State Park, situated on Lake Jocassee in the Blue Ridge Mountains, offers a wide range of year-long outdoor activity. Trophy smallmouth bass and trout fishing, scuba diving, hiking and bird watching name a few.

The park has four campgrounds, including a boat-in area, offering a variety of camping styles from backcountry use to RVing. 20 vacation villas are also available.

Directions

From I-85 at the GA line: Take exit 1 to Hwy 11 for approx. 40 miles, turn left on Jocassee Lake Rd, and travel 3 mi.



From I-85 at the NC line: Travel south to Hwy 11 exit at Gaffney and proceed on Hwy 11 for approx. 90 miles, turn right on Jocassee Lk. Rd and travel 3 miles.



From I-26: Take exit 5 onto Hwy 11 to Campobello. Travel for approximately 60 mi. Turn rt. on Lake Jocassee Rd., and travel 3 mi.

Two campgrounds are available with a total of 57 standard paved sites with water and electrical hook-ups. Some sites can accommodate RVs up to 36 feet.

Both campgrounds are convenient to restrooms with hot showers.

In a seperate campground, 25 walk-in tent sites have picnic tables and fire rings. Central water is located at the parking area, as well as restrooms.

On the northern shore of Lake Jocassee, a 13-site boat-in backcountry campround is available. Special regulations apply.
