Description

Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Oconee State park is a large 1165-acre facility with 2 lakes, 6 hiking trails and 165 campsites. The park also has several fine cabins and The Barrack, which sleeps up to 16 people.

***Campgrounds Closed January and February 2010 for renovations. The Barn Loop is closed from December 1 - March 15 annually.***

Directions

From I-85: Take exit 1 to Hwy 11 toward Walhalla. From Hwy. 11 take Hwy 28. Travel through Walhalla and continue for approximately 10 mi. Turn rt onto Hwy 107 and the park will be 2 mi on the rt.

Canoe rentals, paddle boat rentals, other non-motorized boat rentals, biking, backpacking, camping, fishing, carpet golf, hiking, park store/gift shop, picnicking, playground equipment, swimming.

140 gravel sites with water and electric that will accommodate RV's up to 35 feet. 15 tent sites, 100 yards from main campground with centralized water. All sites are convenient to restrooms with hot showers.
